Mouse Catch

Having spent several weeks listening to the patter of little feet running around our walls and under our floorboards, the rodent infestation at 51 Hillingdon Road is certainly not something I want repeated. But that still doesn't make killing the little things using a spring loaded trap an attractive idea.

RentoKil should take note of Aakash Dewan's humane and stylish approach to capturing and removing mice. Core77 did and awarded him runner-up in the 2011 Core77 Design Awards.

The student from Maharashtra, India designed the trap that looks like an upturned vase. However, when a mouse enters in search of cheese the object becomes unbalanced, springing upright and apprehending its prisoner. Now with the upright vase signaling a capture, the mouse can be removed without harm. Nice one Aakash.
